How to request deletion of your personal data

Your Right to Data Deletion

Under GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations, you have the right to request deletion of your personal data. We respect your privacy and will process your request in accordance with applicable laws.

What Data Can Be Deleted

Upon request, we can delete:

  • Your account profile information (name, email, preferences)
  • Project data and workflows you've created
  • Usage logs and analytics data associated with your account
  • AI conversation history and session data
  • API keys and connection credentials

Data We Must Retain

Some data may be retained for legal compliance or legitimate business purposes:

  • Transaction records and invoices (7 years for tax purposes)
  • Security audit logs (as required by compliance frameworks)
  • Data necessary to fulfill legal obligations

How to Request Data Deletion

Option 1: Email Request (Recommended)

Send an email to privacy@work.studio with:

  • Subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
  • The email address associated with your account
  • Your company/organization name (if applicable)
  • Specify if you want full account deletion or specific data removal

Option 2: In-App Account Deletion

Account administrators can delete their organization's data:

  1. Log in to your work.studio account
  2. Navigate to Settings → Account
  3. Click "Delete Account" at the bottom of the page
  4. Confirm your decision by entering your password

What Happens After Your Request

  • Verification: We'll verify your identity to protect your data from unauthorized requests
  • Processing Time: Requests are processed within 30 days (or as required by local law)
  • Confirmation: You'll receive email confirmation once deletion is complete
  • Backup Removal: Data in backups may take up to 90 days to be fully purged

Third-Party Data

If you connected third-party services (Google, Microsoft, GitHub, etc.) to your work.studio account, you'll need to revoke access separately through those platforms. We only delete data stored on our systems.
